Remember, all reporting of weekly mileage should now be to the comment section of the blog.
Below is a link to an article from Competitor Magazine (competitor.com) about the importance and maintenance of iron levels for competitive runners. There's a lot of really good information on their website, so if you're interested, you should check it out.

ReplyDeleteAndres and I run at the river almost every day at 6pm, so if anybody wants to join us then you can. Well almost anybody. Text me and I'll let you know if you're welcome.

ReplyDelete25. I will start hitting up the river some as well. Andres I will be your new partner. But not running partner, your form is too bad that would be embarrassing. Ran at about 11 or 12 every single day this week to train for the hot hot heat of cross country/because I was up late every day I do not have class. But watch out boys. I will be killing it when y'all are all cottonmouthing at UGA.

ReplyDelete10 miles this week. Many more on the bike. Calves feeling better and better every week.
ReplyDeleteNo Pre-Nats...? :( But it's okay, time to retake our spot atop the throne at the Crimson Classic. Good article! I didn't know liver had high iron content, I still won't be eating it ever. 0 miles this week. I need to start working out, I think I'm getting kankles. Freshmen, don't be afraid to tell us a little bit about yourselves. Let's spice up these blog post's a little people!!

ReplyDeleteI took 4 days off for a leg issue, but feel much better now. There are still hints of it on occasion, but I've been noticing when and where I'll feel it and can manage and avoid it. Aerobically, I'm feeling great; I just need to refocus on good recovery habits.
Jeremy, everybody knows it's "cankles" with a "c" because clearly it's a portmanteau of "calves" and "ankles". Jesus, I can't believe I'm living with you for a third year in a row.
I knew it looked weird for some reason...I'm ashamed

ReplyDelete~147840 feet this week. Still taking it super slow. I feel a little chubby and I'm beginning to forget what my toes look like, but once it warms up a little bit here in Columbus I'm confident the fat will melt off. Good luck to Shawn and Brandon and welcome, new people we're glad to have you! Oh and everyone looking for a good summer read I recommend Unbroken.
ReplyDelete30 cautiously optimistic miles. I am having an awesome time in Houston. Ran with the legendary Mark Mendrek-Laske on both Saturday and Sunday then went to watch the USA game with him and some friends at Lucky's Pub. Our celebration was on Sportscenter and the local news, youtube it. The late Portugal goal was an undeserved dagger though.
ReplyDelete16. Ran with Elizabeth one day and with Chance twice at Sweetwater Park. Feeling great.

ReplyDelete43 miles last week! Feeling great and had a superb long run yesterday. I've been alternating training during the day and in the evening to avoid the heat some. USA all the way! Even with that last second goal...
ReplyDeleteI'm free of the cast! My injured leg's calf was an inch and a quarter smaller than my healthy one when the cast came off. #atrophyprobz.
ReplyDeleteIt's slowly looking less bone-sticking-out-of-my-knee like and I am getting used to walking, driving, and swimming :)

ReplyDelete24 last week, had to take 2 unplanned days off for work conflicts. Feeling good! Sorry for the lame blog post everyone (Jeremy) but I'm posting from my phone in Raleigh, I'm here for a work trip. I drove a tractor everyone! Don't worry I got some pictures! Welcome freshmen, good luck Shawn and Brandon, and everyone else have a great week! :)

ReplyDelete** Announcement for anyone training in Atlanta this summer **
ReplyDeleteI've asked Paul if he would be willing to leave the training room (in the locker room not main AA) open after normal work hours one day a week over the summer so that those of us who are working could get some better, more consistent recovery. Paul agreed and so starting next week, the training room will be open on Wednesday evenings for us to ice and do other recovery. I'll be draining the tubs and closing it down whenever I am done with my run and recovery so if you're planning on stopping by and think you might not get there until after I leave, text me and I'll leave it open for you :)
Also if enough people have strong objections to Wednesdays we can change the day. Just let me know asap and we'll try to decide on the best day for everyone.

ReplyDelete1 mile last week. Was able to start running again Saturday.
