Though we are getting a late start, let's get our Summer Roll Call going! All that is required of you if you choose to participate is a picture of you in preferably a GT track & field or cross country shirt...though any GT shirt will do. Try to take the picture so as to give us some context of how/where you're spending your summer break. Text the picture to Asst Coach and it will be uploaded to the Georgia Tech Track & Field and Cross Country facebook page. Participation is highly encouraged!
As for workouts this week...
Tue - 10 x 1' @ ~90% with 2' easy running in between
Fri - strong aerobic running approaching 80% or 4-5 x 5' @ 80%, r= 3'
61 Miles. One more week of loneliness!

ReplyDelete44. Is the roll call for freshmen or just returners?
ReplyDeleteSummer roll call is for everyone!
ReplyDelete33 miles for last week. One more week in the 'Burgh then I'm headed back down south! Can't wait to see everyone in a few weeks!
ReplyDelete62, I probably the worst run of my life last Sunday, and today was only marginally better. I had good workouts though. I don't know why it's been so inconsistent. I'm coming back Thursday, hopefully getting some guys to run with will reduce the variability.
ReplyDelete51 miles in five days! A little short because weather was terrible here and flash flooding is a real issue... haha but road tripping home this week!
ReplyDelete62 this week. Felt a lot better now that I have some new kicks.
ReplyDelete42 miles. Everything still feeling good, though the Mosquitos have been annoying this year. Got to run with Billy, Patrick and Alex for my long run which was nice. Looking forward to more runs with teammates once we're back.
ReplyDelete41 miles. As suggested, I didn't start the workouts last week, so I'll do that this week
ReplyDelete60 miles. I was able to do both workouts this week. Haven't had any issues with the groin/hip but still keeping the maintenance up.
ReplyDelete70 miles

ReplyDelete46 miles for each of the past two weeks!
ReplyDelete70 on 6. Nice to have a bit of a down week. My legs have been kinda tired, but I've been hitting the training room and getting my yoga on and Its been helping. I had a fantastic workout on Tuesday and a disastrous workout on Friday. Hopefully I'll find some consistency here soon.
ReplyDelete44 miles last week!
ReplyDeleteWas only able to run 54 miles in 5 days. Rolled my ankle pretty badly last Sunday and figured it would be best to take the next two days off to allow it to heal. Feels great now and the training is back on track.
ReplyDelete53
ReplyDelete54. My legs have been feeling pretty awful. I think it's a combination of increasing mileage, sitting in a car for over 25 hours last week, and having to move into my new apartment which is on the 4th floor (and there's no elevator). So hopefully my legs will start to feel better next week.
ReplyDelete60 miles-zane coburn. feelin in shape. legs are a bit fatigued, but ill survive.
ReplyDelete52 miles. Planning to start speed next week
ReplyDelete51
ReplyDelete75 miles last week, went on an "adventure" run on Saturday and got lost for 4 miles, but the best 4 miles I've ever seen with tons of sea turtles, Venus fly traps, and a secret beach up in Wilmyhood
ReplyDelete49 miles, I spent all day sunday either on a plane or in an airport so my long run will be monday... IN BRAZIL!!!! Its winter here and the weather is beautiful. I just hope i dont get mugged
ReplyDelete44 for this week and 38 :/ for last week!
ReplyDelete69 last week. Visited providence for the weekend and got to run with some old teammates!

ReplyDelete58 this week, I should be back on track now. Both workouts were solid this week, all's good in the hood.

ReplyDelete34 miles. Good runs with good people last week. Right foot/peroneal started feeling really irritated on Wednesday, so I took Thursday off & crosstrained. Everything feels great now
ReplyDelete42, good workout on Tuesday paired with tired legs on Friday's run that led to only skiddishly approaching 80%.
ReplyDelete47
ReplyDeleteTuesday workout was good but Friday was harder... Found my own lake loop, 1.1 miles and pretty flat! Did last long run on a nice trail on an island in Stockholm and yesterday I ran from my house into downtown, feeling like a tourist.
47 miles last week.
ReplyDelete70 last week. Workouts went alright. Paces on most runs have been a little slower than I would like, although running at 5:30pm every day could have something to do with that

ReplyDelete50 miles for last week! A little low since I did my long run on Saturday instead of Sunday.
ReplyDelete58 with 9 at 9 on Saturday night to close out the week. It's starting to become a habit that I don't want to have. Still haven't started workouts, but I did some uptempo miles back and forth over a mile long bridge near my house. It's about the only hill within running distance of my house, so Friday I did 4 x 1 mile (probably more like .9X) with 1 min jog from 5:27 to 5:03, in the middle of my 10 mile run. Did 14 on Sunday for my longest run of the summer, and felt decent. Also doubled today and ran a tempo paced (17:10) 5k tonight to support the local running club. Almost got beat by a girl. Hoping to hit 65-70 this week, maybe trying to get in a fast(ish) effort on Friday's run.
ReplyDelete46 miles!
