reppin out west

Not much time to post, about to leave for the track in Clovis, CA for the last day of the US Junior National Championships.  Amy races in the women's 1500m final after doing a great to qualify from the prelims with a 4:35.79.  Bria competes in the triple jump after winning the women's long jump yesterday, breaking her own school record with a jump of 6.49m / 21' 3.5"; with the win she qualifies for the US Junior National team which will compete in the World U20 Championships in Poland in July.  And Avery finished 7th last night in the men's 800m final in 1:50.43, after qualifying for the final with a 1:50.09 in the prelims.  So good stuff happening out here!  And we've made two trips in the last two days to see Yosemite National Park.  Don't miss it if you're ever out this way!

  7. 6 miles and 45-60 min biking each day (30 min biking on the 2 days I ran 3). Feeling great (as long as I keep up with rolling, flexibility, and sleep) and ran a peaceful 6 miles in the park (pain free :)) yesterday. Challenging and rewarding weeks behind and ahead. Congrats to all who competed in CA last week - great job

  20. 32 miles last week plus a 40 mile hike with pack through some pretty tough terrain, however that factors in.
The hike impacted the beginning of this next week too, so I'll be short there but then back on track.
