Next up is a trip to Eugene, OR (aka Tracktown USA) in two weeks for the NCAA National Championships!  For most people, however, it is time for the start of a new season with new goals! We are working on new annual volume spreadsheets and notes, along with recommended summer training, to send out this week, but this first week is pretty simple.  For the first week back, just plan on 3-5 light runs.  For a volume target, multiply your full volume week by 41.67%.  To keep in sync with our normal routine, plan on Monday's always being one of your off days.  A weekly blog post on Sunday evenings will continue through the summer, so always check back in!  And as in the past, the blog comment section will serve as the way to report your weekly training and we encourage everyone to do that.

As we embark on our 2021-22 journey, it's important to understand the process, so that we can follow the process.  It is important to follow the training plan and commit to the "easy" and "small" things like rest and recovery, strength-training and mobility, sleep and nutrition.  It's important to take ownership of our progress and to invest in what our team can become.  It is important to bring #professionalism to everything we do and #ambitiontoexcel to every day!

  4. 27 miles last week. Did a little cross training and have been staying active throughout the day. Nice to get back into a rhythm, and it’s been feeling pretty good on the runs.

  6. 6 miles last week. I just ran one mile per day but with perfect form for the entire time, which was challenging but felt good. I have also stared attacking core workouts more systematically and rigorously than I ever have in the past. Good luck at Nationals!

  9. 32 miles last week. Went down to Florida to watch everyone compete at regionals so that was a great experience. Also got to watch Nicole qualify so that was pretty dope. LESS GOO FEGANS!!

  11. Around 8 easy miles last week and some aqua jogging. Core and mobility sprinkled in aswell. Using inhaler now twice a day and once before run and noticing big difference from the struggles with breathing this season. Lets go! Congrats Nicole!!!

  12. 3 miles last week with plenty of biking, a little swimming, and some core. Enjoyed the break, but missed running a lot and very ready to start it back up again! Can't wait for my first week.

  14. 0 miles last week, but I got in about 3.5 hours of biking plus a lot of core/strength. I get my bone scan on June 4th so I may be able to start some walk/runs soon :)
