As we approach week four of the schedule you'll notice it's the last week of the 'transition' phase and next week begins the cross country aerobic phase. Pay attention to the SUMMER'11 NOTES tab, however, as nothing changes yet with your daily running pattern. Weeks four and five are just easy aerobic running. It's not until week six that the pattern changes to include aerobic fartlek running and 80% aerobic running. And don't forget your fast striding once a week! Of course, stretching, core work, and proper recovery nutrition should continue unabated.
A lot of new names showing up in the comments section. Some old, as well as new, names are missing though. Let's get going with reporting your weekly running. And new people, don't be afraid to tell everyone a little bit about yourself :)

I'm pumped to actually start running again! Starting today
35 mind-blowing miles of aerobic genius. The daily grind includes insanity core workouts with fellow jacked team member cameron "washboard" reid.
35 for the week. Great week of running! Still me, Alec, Joe Stow, and Marc grinding it out everyday through HOTlanta. Everyday after I run I just have a thirst that can only be quenched by an equate shake, so I think I'm gonna start following in your footsteps coach!
Outside of running core is going amazing! Grinding out crunch after crunch to get those mind blowing abs. Can't forget the grueling pushups Joe Stowe pushes me through everyday. Hope Gomba is keeping his core up cause I'm gonna give him a run for his money!
Shout out to Coach Megesi for the new shoes!
41 miles for the week. I had to take Sunday and Monday off due to some achilles problems but everything was fine by Tuesday.
Found a running group that does there long runs at 5:20 AM... It's kinda nice finishing at 7 AM.
Also Joe Stowe, Cameron, and Marc way to revive PPRC! I hated to see it die last summer.
And Wyatt you forgot to tell us a little something about yourself.
30 miles for me...it is pretty awesome to get running consistently again! Just trying to keep the pace nice and easy to help get my aerobic base back

Jade

Week of June 12-18: 25miles
So looking for summer jobs and trying some new things and at this point I have no interest in being a golf instructor, lumberjack, or competitive mountainbiker... I should just stick to running...

Oh and Joe, I saw Jim Carey impersonate a squirrel on Regis and Kelly Live, and totally think your squirrel impersonation is ten times better.
- btw I hope you remember when you impersonated a squirrel and I was the only one who laughed.
26 miles, lots of rainy runs!

Rachel - 26 miles, most of them at 6AM before work

had some good morning beach runs in Cadiz and 2 runs along the river in Sevilla this weekend
hope everyone is doing well..Betsy and I are abroad for the summer and it's amazing, it still seems surreal to get to have this experience. We've been living in Cadiz for the past 3 weeks and go to Madrid next week, and we've taken 3 weekend trips to Paris, Prague and 3 cities in Spain this past weekend (Granada, Sevilla, and Cordoba)
all the freshman please write a little about yourself..excited to meet everyone in august!!
31, been fighting a sinus infection for a while but got some drugs and hopefully will be completely better soon.
Also, thanks Doug. I'm sure it'll be waaayyyy better than Patrick's stupid tragic bullet. You're such an awesome roommate, I can't wait for you, me, Austen, and Ryan to all hang out and watch our giant tv and play foosball while Niall and Patrick sit silently in their empty apartment.

Hi everyone my name is Katie Vance and while I am not a freshman this fall will be my first semester at Tech and I am extremely excited! I am currently in Gainesville, Ga so if there are any girls in Atlanta area who would like a running buddy once a week or so that would be great! I am looking forward to meeting everyone eventually and hope I can be a great addition to the team.
33 for the week.
Thank for sharing Katie!
Btw coach, got those equate shake yesterday.
33 last week for me. Had a slight cold for a couple days but it didn't slow my running.
A little something about me... My name's Austin O'Connell. I'll be a freshman next year planning to major in mechanical engineering. I attended Harrison High School in Kennesaw. I've been running alone in the hail here a few days this week (it's a blast). If anyone is in the area and doesn't want to run alone then let me know! My normal running buddy Nat works up in Michigan all summer (as he said in his comment) so I would love to run with anyone close by!
35 with 2 days off for my first week back.
26 Miles for week 3.
I will be in Italy for the next two weeks with my grandpa, so I do not know if I will be able to update as far as my mileage, but so far I have hit my mileage every day. It has been kind of hard to adjust because my season ended so late, but it is working out fine. I've been enjoying my runs on the Erie Canal (I live right on it). It is my favorite place to run
28 for the week.... feelin good feelin great... still loving spain
... MK and I leave our city of Cádiz this Saturday after four weeks for another 4 in Madrid. Don't worry everyone, I have been utilizing my close access to the beach daily, so obi, cameron, shawn, and most especially jjjjjjjjade better watch their backs.. miss you all!!!
Robert and I are meeting at Kennesaw Mountain on Friday morning at 8:30 to run. Anyone else in the area that wants to join is welcome!
20. Slow.
Wow you guys are running in some cool places! Anyone doing the Peachtree Road Race?
30 miles
