in the mountains
Two weeks of camp down, one to go. We're especially well-represented this week with DJ and Chance continuing from last week, Hayley coming back for the last week after being here the first, and Kaylee and Maria joining us this week. Also, Coach Johnson will be on staff as he brings his high school up for the week - he is also our scheduled speaker for Friday. Hope the aerobic work is going well. A nice jump in mileage is in store for this week so keep the easy runs easy!

54. After a pretty shaky long run, the rest of the week went pretty well. Highlighted by an interesting Thursday easy run gone wrong, took a turn that made it my second long run of the week. Redeemed myself with a stellar tempo the next morning, passing 5 in 28:30. Then I had a momentary lapse of judgement when I devoured a piece of cheesecake for my birthday. sorry. Working the core and strength, but trying to lose some weight off my tits. Gotta make em small but perky for optimal performance. Not sure if that's appropriate for the blog...yolo.
53 miles of prestigious palpitation as C-reid and I sailed through our first aerobic workouts of the summer. Put down a conservative 85% fartlek on the track in Norcross Tuesday. Later in the week was a 5-mile tempo at the Chattahoochee at 5:56 pace. The rain started pouring down just as we began the workout, but the conditions proved favorable due to the low temperatures that evening.

50 miles. I have one week of school left and then finals, can't wait for my 2 week break from text books, classes, labs and homework!
eyy oooo Patrick
58 miles. My legs felt sluggish at the beginning of the week, but miraculously pulled out a solid tempo on Friday. I wasn't planning on running too fast, so I judged pace based on how my legs felt. Turns out they felt better than I thought they would. I threw a couple small hills into my tempo path, so my miles were a little inconsistent with pace.
Legs felt great yesterday and on the long run today too.
37. Took two days off because my hip was bothering me. Feels better now.
55 miles last week. I took a day off to rest.
46 for last week with an obscene amount of swimming and kayaking.
43, and biking and kayaking as cross training as well!
40 for the week. Excited to spend some time with my new teammates this week!

16. Neck is still healing up from last Tuesday, but I got a few easy easy runs in this week - a bit tight in the neck and back at first, though 7 mile "long" run this morning felt pretty good. Needing to stretch out these kinks in my back but this upcoming week should be at least double the miles of this week. Doing pushups, swimming, and jump rope cause I'm not trying to get ripped, I'm trying to get shredded.
Ayyyyy ohh @Patrick
53 brisk miles
Tempo was smooth, fartlek too
Foamrolling each night
0 for the last 2 weeks but been feeling better and did run today so hopefully I feel good tomorrow and can work towards hitting my mileage again. In Australia at the moment so can't guarantee I'll have Internet next Sunday to post on the blog
57 in 6 last week. lookin forward to the jump in mileage this week.

50 for the week so glad to not be running though miles of corn. Great change from last week!!
39, was short on mileage because I road-tripped to New York City with a couple of my old teammates and had to cut one day short!! Had so much fun running around New York, absolutely beautiful!
Swimming, biking and core. O miles.
45
46 easy for the week
48 for the week. Skipped Monday. Workouts were good.

A pretty sad 49 last week, woke up the day of my tempo sick and with two angry it bands so no workout this week. Been slowly pulling myself back on track since.
39 for the week. Finally back on the mileage track after my ankle knocked my mileage down a bit. It's still not 100% though. Still sticking to flat surfaces (the river, track, treadmill) to make sure everything heals up properly. Had a pretty solid 5-4-3-2-1 fartlek last Tuesday with Joe Stowe, was really able to set a good gauge for how I should attack the 80% run. Working out after work though is no easy feat. We pushed the 80% run back to Saturday just to be well rested for a good aerobic effort. We went 5 at the river in 29:41, and might I add that the first 4 mile splits all fell within .67 seconds of each other. The last mile skewed our slowest to fastest split spread to 2 seconds, but the sight of the finish line is too exciting not to speed up a little. All in all, it was a good week of running.
yayy katie wrote more than just numbers! and alec almost made a haiku...
37 this week, a tad short because I took a day off, also did a ridiculously hilly awesome long run with Ktown at Blanchard park!
45 again. Wish I could find trails to run on here but the closest thing they have are farming fields. And they are everywhere. Blanchard is absolutely ridiculous.
49 for the week, pretty solid week of running.
52 for the week. Tuesday's workout went well..fridays..not so good. Still struggling with the whole sleep thing but it's getting better. Overall mediocre week when it comes to the way i feel physically. Times may not have been what I wanted it to be but the effort was and that's what matters right?
And once again..EEHH-OOOO patrick!
Tons of mileage to report, here it goes:
Week of:
June 17 -23: 38
June 24-30: 28 (Took 3 days off due to my right foot hurting.. ran the long doing the wellington half marathon and averaged 7:34, felt good.)

July 8-14: 45
July 15-21: 30 (Need to call you to talk about current injury/ issues, but returned home and can now cross train)
