back to school

Sorry for the late post, traveling this past weekend and in Boston tonight.  Really excited to get everyone back to school this weekend and ready to start!

Plan on doing your long run on Saturday this week.  Just switch the mileage for Saturday and Sunday.  But count the mileage correctly, so this week will end up higher than scheduled and next week will end up lower.

Sunday's physical schedule is listed below.  Report to the student health center on time!
7:00 AM - freshmen women (estimated time of 1.5-2 hours)
7:30 AM - freshmen men (estimated time of 1.5-2 hours)
10:20 AM - returning women (estimated time of 1 hour)
10:40 AM - returning men (estimated time of 1 hour)
***blood tests will be done at the beginning of the physicals and are to be fasted, meaning nothing to eat or drink except water after midnight the night before.

Our compliance meeting will be in the Athletic Association lobby on Sunday at 4:00 PM.

36 miles this week. I had to back off on a couple of days, everything is still so sore so I'm assuming it's an adjustment period or something. I went back to normal mileage in time for the long run which I did on Saturday and my run this morning. I'm really excited to meet everyone this week!!!

48 miles.
Got to stay at Chance's house a couple days this past week! Ended up accidentally doing a second long run at Boundary Waters on Tuesday since I got lost haha.
This last week of work is going to be absolutely miserable. I cannot wait for school to start, because even on workout days I'll be waking up later than I have been lately :(

56 miles last week. Workouts didn't go as well as previous week and legs felt pretty sluggish. Probably because I didn't take my off day until saturday and I did my workout Friday too late in the morning. After off day though my legs have felt fresher past couple of runs. Looking forward to running with the team again starting this week.

39 this week - I'm sorry for being so short :( definitely the busiest week of the summer with my last week of work, a ton of events, and going out of town... Also I wanted to give my legs a bit of a break cause they were starting to need it. I'll be back up there this week!!

70 miles last week. I'm feeling really good, especially on the harder effort days of Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday. Had another strong long run and did an 8 mile tempo on Friday in 45:51 during and after which I felt comfortable.

50 with a progression run on Sunday and a short tempo Wednesday. Haven't gotten to a fartlek but had another tempo yesterday (heads up, I will be short on mileage this week do to traveling down over to Boone, NC and eventually ATL).
