A very busy week ahead... move-in, physicals, meetings, meals... AND PRACTICE!
The schedule was sent out via Teamworks for the week, so make sure you are where you need to be, when you need to be, and on time :) As always, ask questions if needed!
With so much going on and with some many variables, i.e. some are done with physicals, some have physicals on Tue AM and PM, some are moved-in and some move-in on Monday... get in the first workout of the week on either Mon or Tue, or if needed, just run easy through the first half of week. Hopefully we're settled in and can have a solid workout effort on Friday. See below for schedule...

70 miles and some swimming and paddling last week. This weeks workouts were both the best of the summer, and many times better than any workout last summer. And while I know workouts are only one part of racing, hitting good times and feeling really fit has boosted my confidence for this season. It felt a lot harder than usual to hit full mileage, so I think I'll need to find a better rhythm in the coming weeks, but having a down week will be nice. It's crazy that move-in is tomorrow, I'll see everyone soon!
56 miles this week. Really great workout on Tuesday, but Friday’s workout was a challenge for me. I haven’t been doing very well about getting up early to beat the heat, so that definitely played a part in how challenging and tired I was this week. Felt pretty fatigued all week, but was still able to run everything at normal paces and have decent workouts, which is a good sign. Finally got up early for a long run today, so starting to get into the schedule for school and practice. So ready to move in tomorrow!
69 miles this past week again. Tuesday workout could have been better, but running on grass was interesting. Friday workout went really well and I did 8 miles. Free Guy was the best movie I’ve seen all summer.
3 miles last week. No extra aggravation from the running, but I still feel off during the run itself. Been keeping up with my new PT exercise that increase the intensity of the core workout. I'm gonna be trying these out for 3 weeks, and if I don't feel any progress then I will talk to Dr. Mason about a PRP injection. Very excited to move in tomorrow and see everyone!
66 miles this week and got through my last week of work! Great to have had Katy’s company all week as we fought through Augusta’s brutal humidity. Sad to leave my dog behind but excited to see everyone soon!!
61 miles this week. Felt extremely relaxed during the easy runs and had some good workouts. Tuesday was a little iffy, but Friday's workout went great. 8 miles with lots of the guys around the 2k loop at piedmont. Felt composed and smooth throughout, looking forward to official practices and seeing everyone! It has been a great summer of training, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us.
55 miles last week. I didn't do a Tuesday workout because I had a cold. Nonetheless, I had a great last week in Massachusetts. One run that I have been doing each week is a hard effort along a gravel path up a four-mile hill. At the top, there is a fantastic view of the mountains and my ears always pop along the way up. I started the summer taking 35 mins to get to the top, but on my last day, I got to the top in under 29 mins. I flew back to Baltimore yesterday and did a great long run with my high school buddies this morning. I am pumped to drive down tomorrow and see everyone. Pretty sure this has been the best summer of training
I've had.
Hi! 35 miles last week. I did the workout on Tuesday and felt horrible and woke up Wednesday and Thursday with a really bad cold. Was back to running on Friday but just did an easy run. Did my long run today and am feeling much better. I moved into my apartment yesterday and am so excited to be back on campus!
55 miles last week. I haven't commented in a few weeks but mileage and workouts have been going really well. I hit 55 miles 2 weeks ago and 50 3 weeks ago. It's been great to run workouts with other people, especially the 1600s on Tuesday at Piedmont. I'm very excited to be back on campus and back at practice!
62 miles this week, really nice to be running with everyone and meeting the new generation of Yella Jackets. feeling fit & looking forward to practice this week

59 miles last week, another solid building block. Good set of 1600s Tuesday, fastest solo set I've ever done. Did Friday's workout with a group at Piedmont. It was OK, good progression but stopped at 10k since effort started to feel a bit too high. Chalking it up to subpar sleep the 2 nights before since I'm trying to get on the early morning practice schedule. Came back with a nice long run today.
52 miles last week :) Tuesday’s workout felt great, Friday’s not so much but overall a really solid week of training. Can’t wait to see everyone this week and start practice!!!
58 miles + ~2.5 hours of biking. Every single run this week felt great and was really fun.
50 miles last week!
64 miles last week! 2 great workouts. Sooo ready to run with team:)) see y’all soon
40 miles + 2 hours of cross-training last week! Super excited to be back on campus!!
64 miles last week. Did the 12x1 fartlek on tuesday because I was still home and running that workout was easier to do in ptc and did 8 mile tempo at park. 45:20 for 8 miles starting at 6:15 and down to 5:25 averaged 5:37. Felt really dang good.
38 miles last week and an hour plus of swimming. I did my first tempo this week and it went pretty well.
31 miles last week my groin is feeling better. Still not 100% but I'm happy with the progress.
32 miles last week + swimming! Went to Wisconsin last week and loved running in the cooler weather! Still no workouts yet but definitely notice my back and hip are doing better & running feels more natural again :)
50 miles! Had a great week of training & am so happy to be back on campus!
55 miles last week! I am so happy to be back too! We drove home from Missouri last Sunday so I did my long run on Saturday instead. The long drive coupled with a lack of sleep made the workout on Tuesday harder than I expected, but luckily I got to do Friday's workout with Clay, which made me extra excited about coming back to run with everyone!
55 miles last week. Missed a day of practice moving in but felt rested for the long run and workout so far as a result.
17 miles last week. Out sick. Looking forward to coming back and getting into the school rhythm.
