summer '16 roll call

Everyone should have received an email regarding the annual summer roll call on our facebook page.  We're hoping for 100% participation!  It was neat just looking through the previous summers' roll call, so we can't wait to see this year's!

Along with the roll call instructions was the strength-training schedule.  As always, ask if you have questions.  Focus on the correct execution of each exercise and do not just go through the motions.  The summer strength training is very important and will provide a foundation for the rest of the year.

Lastly, a small group heads west to Clovis, CA to compete in the US Junior National Championships...Amy in the women's 1500m, Avery in the men's 800m, and Bria in both the women's long jump and triple jump.  Everyone wish them well!

39 miles last week. Floated down a river through the foothills and barely did any work this week, so I'd say my week was relaxing. I started running with CSU distance squad. It's so nice to run with people again. Good luck Avery, Amy, and Bria! Represent!!

16 miles last week! I got my wisdom teeth out on Wednesday so I've been sleeping an abnormal amount of time, even for me. I'm talking to 14-17 hours a day. Get on my level

22 miles last week and 26 this week. I was in Scotland for a church trip and couldn't access the blog, but I was able to run on some pretty sweet trails. I'm super pumped to meet everyone in the fall and to run fast!

Like 13-15 miles for last week, not sure. Ran without a watch and just chilled. Getting more serious and getting back into the swing of things this week.

44 miles last week. I think I got a week ahead of schedule by accident, one of these weeks I'll get back on track. Australia is the chillest country ever, I'm having a lot of fun out here. Just went sea kayaking yesterday, and in a few days we'll be camping in Kakadu national park up north. Pretty crazy this trip is counting for credit.

34 last week. I will be on schedule for next week except that I am switching my long run back to Sunday this week. My last summer league swim season comes to an end soon so I am enjoying it while it lasts. My team went to see Finding Dory. I highly recommend it. Good luck to Amy, Avery, and Bria!

28 last week. It was very hot; I'm glad traffic provides small, appreciated break. I am also pretty sure that I am taking the two easiest classes GT has to offer.
