building dat volume yo

Last week of just easy running and building our volume up before beginning the next phase, which will consist mostly of short fartlek-type efforts at xc distance race pace with sufficient aerobic recoveries.  Keep working to intentionally add cross-training volume, and sending pictures for the facebook summer roll call.

Full coaching staff in Asheville all week getting fired up for the fall...P45417!

40 miles last week with 1 hour of biking. Spent the weekend at a cousin's ranch in San Antonio, so I got to do some runs among the longhorns! Texas is pretty sweet.

50 miles and an hour on the bike for me. Good to see some guys at the river this morning and some teammates at the Peachtree (as well as Jenna and Leah). I did an escape room this week and would definitely recommend it. I still need to do something interesting for roll call. Maybe I will just post a picture of myself in class.

41 miles, 1.5 hr swimming, 1 hr paddleboarding. Had a good time in Florida but I'm happy to be back in cool ATL. Running at noon here is better than running at 5 am in SoFlo.

46 miles, 2.5 hours of swimming, and .75 hours aquajogging. I will be ordaining my sisters wedding on Saturday and currently have not started any practice or preparation of any kind. Stay tuned for a review from Jag on the crash and burn.

55 miles last week. Plus an hour elliptical and around 2.5 hours of golf, for what it's worth.

34 miles last week plus a sorry 35 min of cross training. The Peachtree was fun as always, and I learned that registering for classes is more stressful than I had expected

57 with an hour of biking and 30 min of aqua jogging

Jag Gangemi said...

10 hours of arm-biking plus a little over an hour of aqua-jogging and some lifting. Wanted a little more on the aqua-jog front, but had to back off due to some soreness in the hip. As per Jenna's advice, I've taken up singing during my workouts to help re-strengthen my lungs. Right now it's basically just "Old Man River" on loop, but I'm hoping to add at least a few more tunes to the repertoire by the time the season rolls around. I'm sure you're all looking forward to that.

41 miles last week but far from enough cross training... FASET was really cool and it was fun to run with Liz and Marie! I can't wait to be back on campus

74 miles last week. Very happy with my performance in my race but still looking to improve a lot. Excited for workouts cause this easy running stuff is starting to get really boring. Will start having to double this week cause I've done 80 in singles before and it wasn't fun.

43 miles with a slacking 35 minutes of swimming, but they took out the middle of the pool, making it way too long for swimming to be fun anymore...hoping they put it back soon. Got a visit from COURTNEY last weekend which never leaves a dull moment :). Ran some of my runs with Juanita which made it way more fun, but the heat is making it less fun. And cool, Jag! Can we make song requests for the fall?!?! Then we won't have to be without tunes when Megesi forgets them :) Missing everyone!

30 miles. Still not feeling awesome on my runs. Lack of fitness and heat is to blame. Still working on my flexibility a lot and rolling a ton.

42 miles and some hiking last week, all in the mountains. Legs are pretty beat up from the hills, but starting to adjust to them, and views on runs have been beautiful.
