#404Takeover of the 512

Apologies as the annual volume spreadsheets are late in going out.  We will be working to email them this week from Austin.

Below is the schedule for the Yellow Jackets competing in the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships!

Thursday, June 6

And with the Championships, let's watch the great execution of even pacing strategy by Dave Wottle in the 800m final at the 1972 Munich Olympics...

24 miles this week and one hour of swimming. I also helped my sister move and we tied her mattress to the top of her car and it flew off about a quarter mile from our house so we had to carry it back on the side of the road. Does that count as cross training? Saw a couple teammates at the baseball game. Kind of a disappointing end to their season, but they had a good run. Good luck to everyone competing at nationals!

26 miles on the trails around Limerick, as well as 30 minutes of swimming and some mobility/stretching.
It’s been ~55° with 30 mph wind all week, and the sun hasn’t been out since Friday #tightsGANG

A total of 24 miles divided between Metz and Budapest for the 4-day weekend. I stand by getting lost on runs as the best way to learn your way around a city

41 miles this week, and a 60 minute walk around University Lake. Hit the first double digit run of the season yesterday. MK also got to see me over the weekend, but looks like she forgot. If I wore tights on a run I’d probably die @Willy. Can’t wait for the ELEVEN OH SIX takeover in Austin!!!

24.5 miles last week as well as ~35 miles of walking around Rome, mostly at a decent pace so as not to miss class or the bus. Would've liked to go 3 to 5 miles more but not overly concerned due to the amount of walking Davey and I did. Ran 7 miles again for the long run yesterday and am hoping to run 30+ total this upcoming week. Running in Rome/Florence hasn't been bad. Venice is our next city, though, and with our hotel on a narrow island it may be tougher. Hoping there are treadmills or running paths along the length of the island but we'll find a way to get it done regardless. After Venice, our schedule apparently slows down quite a bit so recovery, which has been tough as of late due to runs often being between classes & events, should be easier Hoping that some weekend trips line up cause I'd love to go see Knoxy and Willy and get in a couple runs with them.

22 miles last week with 1 hour on the bike and 1 hour on the elliptical. Been working a lot so if you notice an improvement in traffic in Georgia it is probably my doing

11 miles last week with 3 hours cross training (swim+bike). Had a great time hanging out with MK! Ran on the gulf course behind the house a couple times and saw turtles and some twigs (that MK repeatedly called "snakes")

22 miles last week with a lot of walking in the cities (~8-10 miles a day). Totally forgot to post until now cuz I don't even know what day it is half the time with this travel schedule. Rome was dope but Florence is doper. BIG Duomo guy. Venice is our next stop so I'll get some nice aquajogging in there.

23 miles last week. A bit late on the blog post because I've been busy, I am now in San Francisco. The place I'm living is a bit sketchy (and still very expensive), but work should be cool. Looking forward to exploring the city too.

19 miles last week with 2 hours cross training on the zerorunner. The past couple weeks I’ve been working on eliminating all cross contamination from my allergens so I’ve been making my own milk and protein bars and lots of desserts. Most of them have tasted pretty good and I have a lot more energy now so I am really excited to get back into training!
