Reminder...fall semester move-in dates...new incoming people move-in on Saturday, August 14th / returnees move-in on Monday, August 16th. For the upperclassmen, we know there may be some conflicts with internships, summer jobs, etc. Notify us as soon as possible of any conflicts. Regarding training, only a small increase in mileage this week to hopefully consolidate gains leading into next week's first full volume week and change in training phase.
Our tentative fall schedule is below and is certain to provide some great competitive opportunities! Hopefully, unlike last year, there will be no covid changes needed! But we will update you if any more information becomes available.

50mi this week. Tempos went great.
24 miles this week. Today I ran the Peachtree (36:26) which was both the longest and fastest run I have done this summer (not really that fast but not bad for this summer of training so far) . So I was happy the hip held up. I hope that I can keep making progress because the meet schedule looks exciting (I see the spine specialist on Wednesday so hopefully he gives me some good news)
33 miles this week. Ran the Peachtree today with Sarah and Ashley and it was a blast! The xc schedule makes me so excited:).
37 miles and 3 hours of biking, not quite 50-50 like i planned but the Achilles is feeling much better even after a hilly 14 miles this afternoon. Tempos went decently well but hopefully will be better this week
43 miles + elliptical + strength training last week. Friday's tempo was my best one so far, and I'm looking forward to another great week! Super pumped for this XC schedule!
54 miles this week and 45 minutes of cross training. Runs have started feeling very good again so I’m excited for the approaching full mileage week. Hope everyone had a good 4th.
36 miles and I am easing into some much-needed strength training after 4 months without it! Tempos are feeling great. I am excited about the racing schedule.
23 miles, 1 hour of strength, a lots of walking last week. Feeling back to my normal self and definitely happy about it :) The schedule is getting me pumped for the season!!
23 miles this week. I found it challenging to stay motivated but other than that I felt good since I’ve been focusing more on recovery. I’m excited and nervous to start workouts
45 miles last week + strength + mobility! Tuesdays tempo was great but Friday’s was a little tougher- body felt a little tired! Going to try to get extra sleep this week to keep the body ready for full mileage next week! Excited about the schedule & getting to meet all the new people :)
58 miles last week. Rolling, icing, stretching, and abs as well. Taking the easy days easy and doubling on Wednesdays/ Thursdays in particular.
48 miles last week. Out in Colorado currently but I leave today :( had an absolute blast out here running with the guys! Workouts are still going well! Had a great workout on Tuesday!
58 miles last week. Drove up to Kansas on Tuesday and then got to Colorado Springs on Wednesday. Alex almost died but he is okay now. Runs here have been beautiful but tough though they are starting to feel more normal and we’re all very excited to get into the best shape of our lives!!
54 miles last week. Colorado has been amazing so far. Lots of easy running and beautiful trails. Went a bit longer since the effort was lower. No real tempos because of the elevation. Hopefully going to start getting in some tempo efforts out here once I'm acclimated.
20 miles last week + lots of hiking around southern Utah and the Grand Canyon! In Colorado Springs for the rest of the month, so I'm excited for some quality training and amazing views. It feels great to get back into running! The XC schedule has me super hyped for the fall! :)
30 miles last week. Got messed up by a bad headache from my spinal tap last week, and also had awful body cramps in my legs one day, left me extremely sore. Took like 45 minutes for the cramps to stop, probably some of the most pain I’ve ever felt. But I’m back in business now! Taking it easy while I work my way back to normal running. Colorado is awesome, great running out here, great scenery. Still feeling very fit!
46 miles last week.
49 miles last week. Ran the Peachtree Sunday. Felt bad the first half but rallied the second half, passing 44 people to finish in 101st and sub 36. Kept it at a workout effort; was occasionally talking with people near me until I turned onto 10th street.
Overall really happy with the shape I'm in. Excited about the (relatively) higher mileage as I usually feel really strong after a few weeks above 50mpw. Looking forward to the new opener and chance to run at Griak as well.
48 miles this week. First run at elevation in Colorado was the long run. Was really worried about the adjustment but it was not bad. 12 miles, very strong last 4 miles to finish it off. The weather here is much better than the 100+ degree dry heat in Utah, so that is a plus. Focusing on recovery as well as starting up cold therapy again. Feeling strong and fit.
52 miles + 1hr 40mins of biking. Did the Peachtree yesterday which was fun.
Bone scan done and now I am waiting for the results. Making use of the 57 degree ocean for some ice baths. Luckily it is warming up and the jersey shore summer is in full swing with packed beaches. Praying that I can try a little run soon:)
Alex got a massive body cramp. Anyways 53 miles last week with some good tempos. Really nailed the effort this week. Got to colorado springs on sat and feeling purrty good so far. Ran a little faster than planned on it sunday but efforts good. Def need to drink way more water than at sealevel and hit the stretching n rolling
54 miles last week. Pretty tough running in Arkansas, just not many places to run. But all good I figured it out and now I’m in runner heaven with tons of beautiful running trails in CO! Did my first run here today which also happened to be my long run so it was a little tough. Im sure the next week of running will be hard but ready to get after it
44 miles back at altitude. Controlled efforts with some excellent technical sessions. Super keen for the cross country season.
47 miles this week I missed a day of running due to travel but besides that I felt really good. snuck into the peach tree because I did not have a bib and felt super good running around 34:50 in the middle of my long run for the day and saw Galen Rupp at the GT track
30 miles last week. The easy tempos are starting to feel more and more relaxed. I am excited to keep building my mileage safely. I got a new Garmin running watch last week, and it has been fun to play with.
45 miles last week ! The peachtree was super fun and I've been enjoying lots of runs with Liz. The easy tempos have felt great :)
43 miles last week! MK and Hannah left yesterday :( but it was so fun to have them visit! The schedule looks great and I’m so excited for the season :)
40 miles last week. Getting acclimated to Colorado and finally getting back into the swing of things hoping starting Friday workouts will be easier. R.I.P Alex Thomas
48 miles last week. Tempos have been going well, and easy runs are feeling smooth. Enjoying the gradual increase of mileage per long run!
0 miles last week, but a lot of walking around Miami, plus 2 hours 10 min of swimming/aqua jogging, 3 hours biking, plus core/strength. Also, my plan to cross-train in the ocean didn't really work because I was too afraid of being attacked by a shark...But overall super fun time with Abby and Hannah!
15 miles last week. Goal was 2:05 but ran 2:11; I was a little bummed. Just going to use this experience to make me better and 2:05 will have to wait for next season! I'm excited for a much needed break and the new xc schedule!
14 miles last week! Runs finally feeling good again so that's awesome! Sooooo pumped for the race schedule, although i will miss beating UGA on their home course ;) Excited to add some more miles this week!
woot woot! Exciting to see the schedule. Hoping I'll be able to run some of this season, but taking it day by day. Staying consistent with my cross training and finding my rhythm.
43 miles last week. I had to cut some of my runs short due to how bad my groin was feeling. However, to make up for that I did do some swimming for 2 hours throughout the week.
41 miles! Slept past my alarm Sunday :( so I switched my LR to Monday which worked out cause I didn’t have work! Ashley biked next to me for the run! Which was so nice I cry 🥲
58 miles last week. First week out west and running here is awesome. Feeling acclimated to the altitude by now and there are tons of trails to run
30 last week!
46 miles last week with some biking and core! I really enjoyed the 10 mile long run on the trails at Patapsco Valley State Park in Maryland! Also, I really enjoyed exploring new trails while I was in Maryland and Delaware. But seeing the schedule makes me very excited to come back to Tech this fall!!
37 miles. Sorry I’m just now posting. But I fell behind on mileage bc I a) got some vaccinations for college at the very beginning of the week that made my joints rly hurt and b) got stuck in the airport on my way home from Oregon and the entire trip home ended up taking like 14 hours. Besides that I got to run with Cooper Teare a couple times (I went easy on him).
