Time to get the annual summer roll call going on our facebook page . We're hoping for 100% participation! It's always great looking through the roll calls of previous summers, so we can't wait to see this year's!
You may receive an email with instructions, but it's simple. Send a picture of you wearing something Georgia Tech to Coach Megesi. The idea is to take the pic somewhere and/or doing something that is representative of your summer. We'll upload the pic to the Georgia Tech Track & Field/Cross Country facebook page. Include an explanation of the trip so Coach Megesi can include some info with the pic when it gets posted.

38 miles his week. The weather here is a hack I haven't felt bad once. Story time about today's long run....
So I finally bugged the UW boys enough to get a long run in with them today. I drive over with Matt McBrian and Matt Wisner (he's here all summer found out yesterday) and was planning on doing 8, but got convinced to do 10 with Wisner. We get there and see Fred Huxham, the guy I talked to and he said we are waiting on some people cool probably other teammates. Tanner Anderson shows up. Expected. And then Jessica Hull and her dad shows up. Unexpected. And then Sam Prakel and Amos Bartosmeyer show up. Also unexpected. welp this is the group no one else is coming. Start to get worried about what I've gotten myself into. Oh well I can handle 10 at whatever pace. We get going and the pace was polite. Get going to around 630s 4 miles in. Easy. We start talking about how far everyone is going and Matt Wisner says he is going 12 even though he said he was going 10 with me. I can't look weak around this group so I also say I'm going 12. Nothing I can't handle. We get to 6 at 38:15 and turn around. Feeling good and talking. As we start heading back the talking stops. The pace quickens. Hold onto hitting 34:45 for the last 6 getting down to 530 pace the last few. 1:13:01 with the big dawgs felt good played it cool. There isn't really a point to this story. Just thought I would share than I did a long run with a 3:50 miler and didn't get dropped. Matt didn't get dropped either for those asking.
36 miles last week. I unfortunately couldn't run Friday due to my OKC flight being delayed. Back in Greeley now. Getting pumped for the Greeley Stampede (Rodeo/Music Festival). Buying a cowboy hat for the occasion!
19 mi last week, feeling good. Also 60 mi biking which was fun :) did a slow 12 mi social ride Monday and found where the Atl PD keeps their police horses (spoiler: there's just a huge field and barn downtown?!). Chanced the weather and went to the bud plant saturday, which definitely paid off because I ended up doing just about half of the beautiful backroads century (12/10 recommend. but bring sunscreen.) in other news, I wiped out on my favorite trail this week and my entire left side is bruised and scraped, but otherwise thankfully unscathed. went on a great trail long run yesterday, but that's a story for next week.
24 miles last week. Tough week for the mileage. Had a fever on Sunday/Monday so missed the long run but it went away and I was able to run Tuesday. Still not 100% but feeling much better- only a lingering cough now. Was adding a mile or two to each day to make up for Sunday but missed Friday's run too because of a long travel day to Paris and the holiday inn closing their fitness center at 10. Knox was passing through Paris so we had a good long run with the boys. Eiffel tower is pretty nifty.
40 miles last week. Running is starting to feel good again. Ran past someone who yelled that I "can't outrun my privilege", so that's what San Francisco is like.
30 miles this week. Was supposed to be at 35 but missed Friday due to a long travel day to Paris and our Holiday Inn's not one but two (2) broken treadmills(!!??). May try and tack on an extra mile to some runs this week but think I'm still in the green due to my first weeks back from my break in May. Also had a fun long run with David as we got to catch up with Knox!
45 miles this week. Another cold week in Seattle. For a story from this week, please read Ave da Rave's post. Probbaly the most memorable long run of my life. Sam has a 3:50 mile PR and Amos just ran 3:36 1500m. Long day of recovery after that run.
32 miles last week + 1 hour cycling. Got the chance to meet up with Abby and MK to run at the river on Sunday and of course go to Dunkin afterwards :)
28 miles last week, I been feeling good
found lil dog named Billy on saturday run, nice guy
^^^ jealous
45 miles
The real question is how many of you guys did Jess Hull kick down in the last 100
36 miles, one hour stationary biking, and one hour swimming. My Monday swim practice was thundered out.
43 miles last week and an hour of stationary biking. I saw a deer on my long run yesterday and it came up to me within arms reach. I think we share a bond now. It was a magical moment.
32 for my first week back last week and 47 this week. Rumor on the street is that the Chicago Kid will be visiting CO this weekend :0 Big fluids test tomorrow wish me luck :/ Looks like Matt and Ave da Rave will be ready for some Kennesaw blasts :)
14 miles last week plus 5-6 miles of walking each day. Just got back from Japan today! The whole trip was incredible and got to visit 6 cities in a span of 10 days which meant a fair share of metro, bullet train, and bus rides. Got sick the second to last day but was able to recover pretty quick thankfully so the 11 hour flight back wasn't too bad.
28 miles last week with 1 hr on the zerorunner. I got to run with MK and Liz yesterday and I saw Gabby too :) it was a fun time!
30 Miles last week and an hour of swimming. Getting used to the hometown hills have been a challenge.
33 miles last week and 1 hour on the elliptical/bike. Will be seeing Henrik for the third time this summer. Wonder why he likes Florida so much🤔
Also it took me way more tries than it should’ve to prove that I’m not a robot
0 miles last week. it's been a week since my last high school race and I'm kinda missing running already. I'm gonna start up with mileage this week, so I'll be 3 or 4 weeks behind most people. Did 30 miles of hiking this week tho on a road trip with some pals.
25 miles + 1hr cross training. I don't have as cool a story as Ava da Rave ( that was a really great one) but a pretty neat one you could say: I went to the beach and never have I ever seen a crab in live action making their homes/holes. Well this weekend I saw ATLEAST 10 just digging their little sand holes (I know because I captured at least 10 pictures/videos) I think they are my second fav animal now.
30 miles last week + 40 min stationary bike and 20 min swim. Enjoying cross training especially swimming.
25 miles last week and a lot of swimming. Did an hour of cross training as well as basketball. It was a really nice week here for my runs.
31 miles last week, been biking a lot. Intentionally and through commuting. Also I've tried posting this maybe 5 times so if you've heard that I'm biking before, I'm sorry.
I ran 33 miles last week with various terrains: clay loop during a rain storm, beach with the scorching hot sun beaming down, et cetera.
43 miles last week, a bit inflated from accompanying my sister on her runs in Switzerland over the weekend
36 miles last! There's a heat wave coming through this week and I am going to have a lot of 6am runs in store for me!
17 miles last week!
5 runs for 25 miles last week. Feeling good and not sick which is great! Concentrated a lot on recovery and stretching last week and now that I've been running for 3 weeks its time to start getting more into some strength routines. I've been doing some hip and glute exercises, but now I'm going to start incorporating some general strength exercises at the gym and some good ol' Taurus into my weeks (concentrating on good form of course @Coach Megesi :D). Hope everyone is feeling good!
39 miles and 45 minutes swimming. The weather has been pretty dreary, but Harvard and Yale were here for a dual meet (Ivy League $$$$$$$) so I went on a couple of runs with them.

24 miles & 2 hours biking last week
24 miles, 35 minutes biking. Decided to join a gym and went to 3 yoga classes too. I feel a big difference running when I go - definitely helping with flexibility!
